Melbourne Central YHA manager Bronwyn Adams was thrilled to be selected at the final destination for the event.
“We feel so lucky we were able to host the finish line of the VTIC Amazing Race this year! We completed our new guest kitchen and lounge area renovations recently, as well as opening up the new rooftop rooms, so there is a real celebratory vibe in the hostel right now… it was hard to keep under wraps though!”.
The Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) Amazing Race is the tourism industry’s biggest annual assembly of staff from the public and private sectors. Concluding at Melbourne Central YHA, the race was held across various locations throughout Melbourne on September 7th, 2012.
VTIC explain the annual race as; “Part scav hunt, part race, part exercise in industry pride; teams of four people from across the tourism community will tackle a series of challenges which will need an Olympic effort to complete. Teams are welcomed from across the wider tourism community including industry bodies, regions and businesses”.
