Challenging negative comments on user review sites, marketing via mobile, growing business from China and capitalising on group buying as a new form of distribution will all be debated at the Adventure & Backpacker Industry Conference (ABiC) in October.
Speakers include TripAdvisor commercial director APAC Alvin Chng, Travelzoo general manager Southeast Asia Brad Gurrie, Adioso.com co-founder Tom Howard, Stray managing director Neil Geddes and Dragon Bus China managing director Paul Kelly. The conference will be moderated by Adventure Tours Australia group marketing director Greg Zammit.
This year’s Question Time panel will feature Traveltrends.biz director Martin Kelly while the Great Debate will discuss the motion ‘vanpackers are an opportunity not a threat’, with Travellers Auto Barn managing director Peter Burke making the case for vanpacking. The full program will be released in the next few weeks.
