easyJet has said that UK passengers will not be affected by a French aviation union’s strike next week.
French union Unac, which represents around 40% of easyJet’s cabin crew in France, is calling a 48-hour strike from midnight on Tuesday, July 12 in a dispute over pay and social security.
The walk-out could cause delays and cancellations of easyJet’s services from French airports such as Lyon, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports.
However a spokesperson for easyJet claimed that UK services would not be affected, saying:
“There will not be any effect on any UK flights. There are only a small number of staff involved and the impact will be very small.”
