Irish eyes are always smiling

Dr Thumbo always loves to hear from his good friends at Paddywagon Tours and Paddys Palace Hostels. Not only does it prove Thumbrella reaches all the way to Ireland, but those guys are just so relentlessly upbeat. Faced with the worst recession since the potato famine, what does Charlie O’Connell do? He opens the largest thatched roof backpacker B&B in the northern hemisphere.

Let’s allow ‘marketing chieftain’ Steve McPhilemy to take up the story.

Ireland may be broke, but backpacker leader Charlie O’Connell is hitting back with all guns blazing, building a beautiful 10-bedroom luxury backpacker B&B complete with £100k thatched roof besides his successful Paddys Palace hostel and Randy Leprechaun pub on the mind-numbingly beautiful Dingle Peninsula. The name Charlie has chosen for this new investment? Heaven on Earth. Why? Because quite simply that’s what it is! We hope to see you all there some time.”

You gotta love ’em…
