Sides taken in ABiC discounting debate

The line-up has been confirmed for the discounting debate at the Adventure & Backpacker Industry Conference (ABiC) in November.  

Speaking in favour of the motion “Discounting is a sensible marketing strategy in a price-sensitive industry” are Student Flights brand leader Carl Cross, Oz Experience general manager Greg Cole and founder Kevin Lippy.

Speaking against are TNS Global executive director, digital and strategy Jonathan Sinton, Scotty’s Beach House owner Boyd Scott and Hostelworld account manager Oceania Kristy Carstairs.

The debate will be chaired by Thumbrella publishing director Martin Lane.

The Adventure & Backpacker Industry Conference takes place at Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf, Sydney on November 4.

    This is be certainly an interesting debate. Noticeably,people involved are those you posted regular on the ‘what prison taught me about discounting’ article. Should be good debate!
