Yesterday’s Australian Financial Review carried a front page ad from Virgin Blue making a direct attack on rival Qantas.
Thumbrella’s sister site Mumbrella reports Virgin Blue’s ad was tactical, with the headline: “Qantas says they have ‘more flights more often’. We think they’ve left out a word. ‘Cancelled’.”
It was used to highlight data showing that Qantas had an 80 per cent higher cancellation rate than Virgin Blue in May.
Th ad was created by Cummins Nitro, the agency behind Tourism Queensland’s Best job in the world campaign.
